TOPIC: FOR THE TIME IS AT HAND
TEXT: REVELATION 1:1-8
The events in the world are pointing towards something, the wise ones will know that this world is gradually coming to an end; it will surely happen one day. Just one virus, the entire world is in crisis, yet many people are not taking God into consideration. Why Jesus was here on earth, He gave predictions of the events to come and after His resurrection, John the Beloved was in the isle of Patmos, there the Lord revealed to him, the event of the end.
Jesus Christ came to this world to die for our sins, He washed us in His blood and bore our sins on the Cross of Calvary, not only that, He made us Priests and Kings unto our God and settle the matter of salvation once and for all (Rev. 1:6). So how do you live your life, as a king, a priest or a slave? Several years ago, when I was a child, my great grandmother (now late), a woman of faith, a princess had the honour to plait the hair of all the king’s daughters (princesses so to say) in my town. There is a particular festival held every August where all the people of the land gathers including princes and princesses both of the reigning king and the dead ones also comes around, so my great grandmother was the only one to plait all the princesses’ hair and she hadn’t done it in the open, she plait it in our family living room and whenever she must to plait it in the open, she covered them up.
Therefore, as a child of God, you are made king; you must carry yourself worthily, walk majestically and behave honourably. A king does not lack food to eat and money to spend, so Christ came to liberate and made us and how come you are behaving like slaves, being molested by sin? John said, “Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.” - Rev 1:3. Are the events in the world strange to you? Or are you cut unaware about happenings around you and in your world? It may be you have neglected the Word of this prophecy; you have failed to read them, and refusing to listen to Him (the Message) and forget to keep them. Do not forget the rich man happened to know the truth in hell. Will you wait till hell to learn and understand the truth? God forbid. The Kingdom of God is at hand. Prepare!
Christ said, I go to prepare a place for you and He is coming back to bring you to Himself (John 14:1-6). The present suffering cannot be compare with glory ahead, therefore stand firm in the Lord and wait patiently unto the coming of the Lord. You will surely laugh. All that were written in this Book will surely come to pass, so gird your loins because more events will still happen and no one can tell. You must therefore be strong in the Lord and do not throw away your confidence which has great recompense of reward (Hebrew 10:35). The devil will want you to doubt the Word of God, you might received assurances from God after you have prayed fervently and all of a sudden things turn, never mind, keep going your God is coming, as a judge, He will judge His enemies and yours. While waiting for Him, your victory has been purchased and delivered, continue to live in victory.
Word Affirmation: “And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father." – Rev. 1:6 (Don't just say it, mean it!)
“As a child of God, you are made king, behave it."
