How Can a Fainting Soul Win?
A fainting soul is not a sign of weakness but a call to deeper reliance on God. In Psalm 42, the psalmist cries, “Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted in me? Hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him for the help of his countenance” (Psalm 42:5, KJV). This passage is a vivid portrayal of a heart battling despair yet clinging to hope.
