DEALING WITH PROBLEMS (2)
DEALING WITH PROBLEMS (2)
It is when you do not expect that problem usually show up. You and I are not immune to problems or troubles of life. Infact, you become a real Christian by your victory of over every problem you encounter in life. Man is born unto trouble since the fall of man in the garden of Eden, but there is an assurance that the death and resurrection of Jesus gives to every (wo)man that comes to Him, be cheerful!
For David, his own problem showed up unexpectedly. Remember, he just finished dealing with a battle (problem) and returned home to rest, only to find another problem and this time, it was an adversity. There are levels of problems in life; there is trouble, adversity and calamity but this is not the focus of this topic. Whatever situation or level of problem you are in, God has the ability and capacity to bring you out. Remember, He brought out the Israelites; their own problem was 430 years (old) in age. The Ageless delivered them all and they did not go out empty.
First thing to point out of how David dealt with problems in his life is weeping, which is and will never be a solution to any problem. Weeping has never won any battle in life; it is not a strategy for the strong, but for the weak. It reduces one’s strength and invite sickeness(es) to one’s life. David and his people wept bitterly to the point that they do not have strength anymore, but did it solve their problem? No! When you find yourself in a situation contrary to your peace, health and wellbeing, all you need doing is to plan your exit out of it, which means you need a degree of encouragement. Lot of people thinks encouragement comes from outside, yes, but the greatest encouragement that moves every barrier and destroys every problem is the one that comes from within.
The solution to David’s problem came via his encouragement, and encouragement in what? Encouragement in the Lord, when you find your own encouragement it has to be in something. So in what do you find encouragement? In drinking, in friends, in motivation, in your environment or knowledge? I bet, the aforementioned will leave you more in the problem than saving you. You need to find an encouragement in a super power, something that is higher than you in thought level and strength and that is in God. But find an encouragement in God will not solve your problem in time until you personalized your relationship with that God. Remember, David encouraged himself in the Lord his God. You may know a living God but it may not be your God. You may have a Bible; it may not be your Bible. You may have an unread Bible, unstudied Bible but you still do not have your Bible until you understood the Word therein thoroughly and know how to use it in times of need.
Beloved, is the Lord your God or you still have doubt in your heart? Thomas said, “Except I shall see in his hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and thrust my hand into his side, I will not believe.” – John 20:24, 25. If you are like Thomas you are only cheating yourself. Make a commitment today, let Christ be your Lord and Saviour. Though accepting Christ does not immune you from problems but you will have assurance and victory over every problem that comes your way. With Him, all things are possible. The power in Heaven and on earth has been giving unto Him and He will give absolute power over every situation. If you had accepted Him as your Lord and Saviour, be committed to your relationship and fellowship with Him. Remember, weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning.
Word Affirmation: “I will open rivers in high places, and fountains in the midst of the valleys: I will make the wilderness a pool of water, and the dry land springs of water." - Isaiah 41:18 (Don't just say it, mean it!)
“Whatever situation or level of problem you are in, God has the ability and capacity to bring you out.”
