UNITY IN CHRIST

UNITY IN CHRIST
Unity is a foundational theme in the New Testament, and Ephesians 4 calls believers to walk “worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called” in humility, patience, and love, endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit. Paul emphasizes that there is “one body, and one Spirit... one Lord, one faith, one baptism” (Ephesians 4:4-5). This unity in Christ transcends cultural, social, and ethnic differences, as all believers are made one in Him.
The call to unity reflects God’s desire for His people to live in harmony. In the Old Testament, King David expressed the beauty of unity when he wrote, *“Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!”* (Psalm 133:1). This unity doesn’t mean uniformity but a shared commitment to love, service, and mutual support.
Christ is the head of the body, the Church, and as members of that body, we are called to maintain the bond of peace, valuing each person as a vital part of God’s family.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for making us one in Christ. Help me to walk in love and humility, promoting unity within the body of Christ. May we reflect Your heart as we serve one another in peace and harmony. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Word Affirmation: “ Turn us again, O God, and cause thy face to shine; and we shall be saved. - Psalm 80:3 KJV" (Don't just say it, mean it!)
“Unity in Christ isn’t about erasing differences, but about embracing our diversity within the common purpose of glorifying God and serving one another. "
