THE HOPE OF GLORY

THE HOPE OF GLORY
According to Colossians 1:27, Paul speaks of the "hope of glory"—Christ in us, the assurance of our future inheritance with God. This hope is not a wishful longing but a confident expectation, rooted in the promises of God. Because Christ dwells within us, we have the hope of eternal life and a future with Him in glory.
Throughout the Old Testament, God’s people lived with the hope of the coming Messiah, the one who would bring redemption. This hope sustained them through trials and exile. Now, as believers, we live in the fulfilment of that hope, as Christ has already come and secured our salvation.
The hope of glory shapes how we live in the present. It gives us the courage to endure hardships, knowing that our present sufferings are not worthy to be compared with the glory that will be revealed in us (Romans 8:18). This hope purifies and strengthens us as we await the full revelation of God’s kingdom.
Prayer:
Father, thank You for the hope of glory that You have placed in my heart through Christ. Strengthen my faith as I wait for Your promises to be fulfilled. Help me to live with confidence and joy, knowing that my future is secure in You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
