RIGHTEOUSNESS MAKES ALIVE

RIGHTEOUSNESS MAKES ALIVE

Righteousness makes alive, sin steal, kill and destroy. Why must one look left and right before he cross the road, it is because he knows that an upcoming vehicle can kill, therefore before you entertain sin, check the consequence label before falling into it. In some churches today, some people are happy because messages from such pulpits no longer condemn sins. To be frank, once saved, forever saved message is an error from the pit of hell. Heaven is not cheap. While growing up in faith, this is how the Spirit of the Lord interpreted sin unto me. He said, “Anytime righteousness is uphold, believer’s account with God is credited which mean he has something to draw from, but at anytime that such person commit sin, his account will be heavily debited. All previous credit transactions are wiped off by just one debit transaction and he would have to begin again”.

So do you think we should continue sinning so that God will give us more and more grace? Of course not! Our old sinful life ended. It's dead. So how can we continue living in sin? If any man is telling you that sin does not kill, tell him what about Adam and Eve. Something dies, especially spiritually when anyone commit sin. Someone’s light (of destiny) will be put off at anytime such indulge in sin. God frown at sin, He called it, wickedness. When God says, “Righteousness exalts a nation, sin is a reproach”, He is not talking about countries of the world alone, you are God’s nation too. The Good News is when Christ died, you are dead with Him and sin has no dominion, power over you.

When Christ died, He died to defeat the power of sin one time—enough for all time. He now has a New Life, and His New Life is with God. In the same way, you should see yourselves as being dead to the power of sin and alive for God through Christ Jesus. But don't let sin control your life here on earth. You must not be ruled by the things your sinful self makes you want to do. Don't offer the parts of your body to serve sin. Don't use your bodies to do evil, but offer yourselves to God, as people who have died and now live. Offer the parts of your body to God to be used for doing good. You are no longer slave to sin, but servant to righteousness.

Word Affirmation: “When mine enemies are turned back, they shall fall and perish at thy presence." - Psalm 9:3 (Don't just say it, mean it!)

“Righteousness makes alive, sin steal, kill and destroy."
