NOT A RECKLESS FREEDOM

TOPIC: NOT A RECKLESS FREEDOM
TEXT: GALATIANS 5:13-15
MEMORY VERSE: "But take heed lest by any means this liberty of yours become a stumbling block to them that are weak " - 1 Corinthians 8:9

The freedom we have is pure, heavenly, and holy and comes with power and authority, by one man death came into the world, by another Man there is life abundantly (1 Corinthians 15:21). Christ returned us back to our former estate, the Garden of Eden; however, we must not walk in this liberty to the detriment of others. All that you do must be in line with the Word of God. If He blotted out the handwritten against us, He gave a New life, a New Code in which we must walk by. Never use your freedom as an occasion to sin and do contrary to the Will of God the Father.

Take advantage of this great victory and grace, to grow and develop in Christ. Use this opportunity to advance yourself in the Kingdom. You can never be in sin and expect the grace of God to abide. God forbid. Therefore, live your life to please God and not to waste the grace of God on your life. You are free from every form of bondage and sin, but you cannot keep walking against God and expect Him not to discipline you or to bless you with all spiritual blessings.

In addition, you are an epistle reading by the unbelievers and believers alike, live above board and be example in words, conversations and actions. Put a kind of control on this freedom you have and make the most of every opportunity. Don’t just use this grace to always begging for forgiveness, behave as a son and walk in power and authority like our Lord Jesus.

Peter admonished and advised us “As free, and not using your liberty for a cloke of maliciousness, but as the servants of God. While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage” – 1 Peter 2:16, 19. For any unworthy behaviour, don’t let anybody point you as a reference. Note that we are not operating at the same frequency when it comes to the things of God, whatever that make other brethren to sin and commit immorality, totally abstain from it. You are free, but you do not have irresponsible freedom. Live and walk by God’s standard. Receive grace to live a worthy life.

Word Affirmation: The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you – 1 Corinthians 16:23. (Don't just say it, mean it!)

“Never use your freedom as an occasion to sin and do contrary to the Will of God the Father.”
