LIVING IN THE SPIRIT

LIVING IN THE SPIRIT
To live in the Spirit is to be free from the constraints of the flesh and to walk in the fullness of God’s power and grace. Paul, in Galatians 5, contrasts the works of the flesh with the fruit of the Spirit, urging believers to “walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh” (Galatians 5:16).
The flesh and the Spirit are in constant conflict, but the Spirit empowers us to live a life that pleases God. When we submit to the Spirit, our lives naturally produce love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. These qualities are not produced by human effort but by allowing the Spirit to lead us.
This promise of a new way of living was foretold in the Old Testament. The prophet Ezekiel declared that God would give His people a new heart and place His Spirit within them (Ezekiel 36:26-27). This is the transformative power of the Holy Spirit at work in our lives today, making us new creations in Christ.
Prayer:
Holy Spirit, I invite You to guide my every step. Help me to surrender my desires to You, that I may walk in the fullness of life that You offer. Produce in me the fruit of righteousness, and let my life glorify God. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Word Affirmation: “ The LORD hath taken away thy judgments, he hath cast out thine enemy: the king of Israel, even the LORD, is in the midst of thee: thou shalt not see evil any more. - Zephaniah 3:15 KJV" (Don't just say it, mean it!)
“Living in the Spirit is not about striving for perfection but about surrendering control, allowing God to transform us from the inside out. "
