THE POWER OF GRACE

THE POWER OF GRACE

Grace is the cornerstone of the Christian faith. In Ephesians 2, Paul reminds us that we are saved by grace through faith, not by works, so no one can boast (Ephesians 2:8-9). This grace is the unmerited favour of God—a gift that cannot be earned but is freely given through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ.

Grace doesn’t merely cover our sins; it transforms us. Through grace, we are made alive in Christ. In the Old Testament, God’s grace was evident when He chose Israel, not because of their righteousness, but because of His love and promises (Deuteronomy 7:7-8). Now, through Christ, that grace extends to all who believe, regardless of their past, weaknesses, or failures.

Grace humbles us. It strips away our self-righteousness and reminds us that we owe everything to God’s mercy. It compels us to extend grace to others, knowing that we have been forgiven much.

Prayer:

Lord, thank You for Your grace that saves, sustains, and transforms me. Help me to walk in the humility that comes from knowing that I can do nothing apart from Your grace. May I extend the same grace to others, that Your love may be seen in me. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Word Affirmation: “ Be not thou far from me, O LORD: O my strength, haste thee to help me.  - Psalm 22:19 KJV" (Don't just say it, mean it!)

“Grace isn’t just a pardon for sin; it’s a life-giving force that renews, restores, and transforms us into the image of Christ. "
