Jesus in the Journey, Not Just the Destination

Jesus in the Journey, Not Just the Destination

In life, many of us are focused on arriving-achieving goals, getting answers, or finally reaching peace. But Jesus reminds us that He is not just the destination-He is the journey itself. When He said, “I am the way,” He invited us into a relationship that walks with us daily. We don’t just follow Jesus to get somewhere better; we walk with Him to become someone better. Every step with Him-whether in joy or hardship-is sacred. Christ is not waiting for us at the finish line; He is walking with us in every season, every decision, and every detour.

The danger is in missing the journey because we're too focused on the end. Like Martha, we can be so busy preparing for Jesus that we forget to sit at His feet like Mary did. The journey with Jesus teaches us patience, dependence, humility, and joy. Even when we don’t understand where life is taking us, we can trust the One who is guiding us. He is the way, not just a guide pointing the direction. Every step, including the painful ones, is an opportunity to grow closer to Him, learn from Him, and reflect His presence.

When we embrace Jesus in the journey, life becomes more meaningful. We see His hand in the small progress, in the lessons learned, and in the quiet peace along the way. It’s not only about heaven at the end, but His presence here and now. Jesus is the path and the companion. Let this truth reshape your daily walk. Instead of asking, “When will I get there?” ask, “Jesus, how can I walk with You today?” He is not only preparing a place for you-He is preparing you for the place.

Word Affirmation: “The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way.” (Psalm 37:23) (KJV) (Don't just say it, mean it!)

"Jesus is not just where you're going-He is who you're walking with every step of the way."
