FEAR COMETH BY HEARING (2)
There has been no time that men have seen God, but He had revealed Himself unto us in His Words and in differ ways. He has sent his audio, written and video messages to us; the heavens and the world around are evident of God, the Bible is His Written Word and messages from His prophets are His audio Words. But rather than the children of God believe absolutely in Him, they rather believe in what they see and listen to news and what they read on the internet. Beloved, fear is a great disease, it’s a pandemic that confront the great and small. God said, “Fear not”, but how come you still entertain fear. To banish fear completely from your life and live in a world of possibility do the following:
1. Know what is right, genuine and authentic - Be exposed to information, revelation and Word of God ahead of time. Study so that you can show yourself approved, a workman that need not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth (2 Timothy 2:15). You are confident when you are well-equipped and studied at anytime you are facilitating a lecture or defend a project. We are in a world of words, whether written or voice. What if Jesus did not know what was right and genuine, that was how the devil will also use the word of God to derail Him.
2. Know the Word of God and HIS interpretation – The Bible says, “Fear not”, this Book is full of data that you need to process to have good information to run with. Our problem most times is lack of understanding of the Word of God and the interpretation of the Word of God. Do you want to take away fear from your life? Know the Word and its rightful application (Matthew 4:1-11).
3. Stand firm in what you know is the truth – Truth based on the Word of God has no alternative and no explanation. The truth you know shall set you free, so stand on it. Make the truth your rock upon which you stand. The world may shake, not the truth. A house built upon a rock cannot be removed. Nothing shakes a man like untruthfulness (John 8:32, James 1:22-25).
4. You need discerning Spirit – To know beyond the physical and understand the game the world is playing with you, you must have discerning spirit, the spirit that will tell you not to or to go ahead. If you have discerning spirit, you will not be afraid of anything, you will just smile over everything when situation arises (1 Corinthians 12:10, 1 John 4:1,2).
5. Be courageous – God told Joshua be of good courage. Angel sent to Gideon, said unto him, “Go in this thy might”. To defeat fear, be of good courage. Always act with boldness, firmness and doggedness, you will conquer every battle. David longed for water from the well of Bethlehem and enemies had already besieged the city, but without been told Abishai and two others penetrated the camped of the enemies, broke their stronghold, and drew water from that particular well. When they returned David poured out this water and exclaimed, “Be it far from me, O LORD, that I should do this: is not this the blood of the men that went in jeopardy of their lives? therefore he would not drink it. These things did these three mighty men“. He knew what these mighty had passed through to fetch the water. In the beginning, these men are vain men that went to David, how did they become mighty men of David, it was their courage and boldness, heaven could not overlooked such bravery and put their acts in the Bible for us to read and understand (2 Samuel 23:15 - 17). You belonged to the Lion of the Tribe of Judah, stop behaving otherwise.
Word Affirmation: For I the LORD thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee – Isaiah 41:13. (Don't just say it, mean it!)
