BEFORE YOU BEND YOUR KNEES (2)
BEFORE YOU BEND YOUR KNEES (2)
Yesterday, we looked at three important steps before we bend our knees in prayers, let's conclude by looking at the remaining five key steps.
4. You must know that your prayer is to bring the manifestation of God to pass – John 9:3. Is your desire inline with the Will of the Father? You must first do your homework to know if such request is to glorify God, then if it is to His glory, go ahead and bend your knees.
5. You must be a regular listener (to God’s instructions) – John 9:6-11. Be a good listener, God is always talking and if you are not a good listener you will never known when He keeps silence too.
6. You must be a doer of His will – John 9:31. God hears not sinners; you must constantly be an obedient child and make it a matter of principle to do the will of God – Psalms 40:8; 62:11; 143:10; Matthew 6:10; Luke 11:2; Hebrews 10:7, 9.
7. Know that your result (answer to prayers) will be contended with – John 9:13. Answer was given to Daniel the very first day he prayed but he did not get it until the twenty-first day because the prince of Persia withstood the Angel sent by God. If a demon could withstand an Angel of God, who are you? Daniel 10:13. Therefore, ensure you sealed your petitions with the Blood of Jesus and ask Heaven to envelope your answers with the Fire of the Holy Spirit.
8. You will not have all your desires – Revelation 5:8; 8:3, 4. Prayers of the saints are used as incense in God’s Kingdom. Note, when you pray you are simply supplying Heaven’s fuel, so not all prayers will be answered, some are kept on God’s altar as incense.
Word Affirmation: Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness – Isaiah 41:10 (Don't just say it, mean it!)
“When you pray, you supply Heaven’s fuel.”
