ANOINTED TO PREACH THE GOSPEL TO THE POOR (3)

Jesus was able to preach the gospel to the poor because He was anointed by the Holy Spirit. The anointing is the empowerment of God that enables us to carry out His work. Without the anointing of the Holy Spirit, we can do nothing of eternal value.

As believers, we too have been anointed by the Holy Spirit. This anointing equips us to share the gospel with boldness and compassion. It gives us the wisdom and discernment we need to reach people where they are. It is the Holy Spirit who opens hearts and minds to the truth of the gospel.

Jesus was anointed to preach the gospel to the poor, and as His followers, we are called to continue that mission. The good news of Jesus Christ is for everyone, but it holds a special promise for those who are poor in spirit. We have the privilege of sharing this message with others, not only through our words but through our actions as well.

Let us rely on the anointing of the Holy Spirit as we preach the gospel to a world in need. May we be bold in proclaiming the good news and compassionate in ministering to the poor and brokenhearted.

Word Affirmation: "But ye shall be named the Priests of the LORD: men shall call you the Ministers of our God: ye shall eat the riches of the Gentiles, and in their glory shall ye boast yourselves." – Isaiah 61:6 (KJV) (Don't just say it, mean it!)

"The gospel is not just for the religious elite; it is for the poor, the broken, and the lost."
