It is not the hearers of the Word that will be blessed, but the doers of the Word John 13:17. Your expectations and desired results can only manifest based on the force you give to it. You cannot claim to cover a distance unless there is a displacement, unless you leave a place of rest. There can never be a great achievement without correspondence, right and reasonable action. It is not just what you learn, what you say or hear that will bring desired blessings, it is what you DO with what you have, learn, say and hear. Talk is cheap, anybody can talk, but not everybody walk or work. Only few walk the talk. Without the action of the Disciples there can never be the Acts of the Apostles. When the Apostles and the Disciples took right steps on what they have learnt there was great manifestations. Don’t just give thought to your idea or to the Word of God you hear, take necessary steps, then you will see God in action - 2 Peter 1:5-8.
Faith cometh by hearing, results cometh by wearing the right robe and get your hands dirty. Are you among those who says, I have faith and when they ask them, show me your faith they do not have anything to show. Faith has evidence, it has substance, it is not what you cannot feel or touch, it is what you can see. Faith is in action, faith has volume and sound, not inaudible. Great men and women mentioned in the Book of Hebrews’ Heroes of Faith had works attached to their faith. What ground have you covered? What do you think is/are your hindrance(s) not to get to work; faith does not give excuse, faith find a path to make things work. Show me your faith, and I will tell who you are (see Hebrews 11).
By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by faith Enoch pleased God, Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went. Through faith also Sara herself received strength to conceive seed, and was delivered of a child when she was past age, because she judged him faithful who had promised. By faith the walls of Jericho fell down, after they were compassed about seven days. By faith the harlot Rahab perished not with them that believed not, when she had received the spies with peace. You see action is always attached to faith if truly you want to see results. What are you doing in evidence of your faith, believe, confession and service?
No matter how you claim the Word of God, claim it in the morning, in the afternoon, and at night without corresponding action, you are only wasting time, resources and energy. Do you pray, “Oh Lord, make me great”, it is not a matter of prayer alone, you have a responsibility. See it in Psalm 68:11.
