WHERE CAN WISDOM BE FOUND?
The wealth of this world is hidden in the earth, its wisdom outside of it; how then can anyone prosper, the Bible says, it is by the fear of the Lord. King Solomon, the great wise man instructed those ready to learn that wisdom is the most important thing (see Proverbs 4:7). Job’s wealth and wisdom were mentioned when he was been introduced in Job 1:1-3, you may think that when the devil came to test Job, he came to just destroy his wealth. No! He also came to destroy his wisdom. At some points in Job’s trials, he was busy searching for wisdom; his wealth could not give him the needed wisdom to live his life, likewise it cannot be found where silver is mined or where gold is refined. What a pity!
Job nearly toured the entire world looking for wisdom and at some points in his life; he verbalized his frustration, where can wisdom be found? If a man introduced by God to be wealthy by God’s standard could not find wisdom with all his might, how much more you. If wisdom is the principal thing, then what is it? And where can it be found? If it is not in silver, in gold, in iron, in brass, where can it be found? The fowl knows not it path, the vulture’s eyes have not seen its way. Not even the king of the jungle, with all it power and prowess trod it path. But wisdom is walking and working among men; cutting the rivers among the rocks and laying its hand upon the rock yet no man know where wisdom can be found and where is the place of understanding.
The deep ocean says, 'It's not here with me.' The sea says, 'It's not here with me and cannot be bought with even the purest gold. There's not enough silver in the world to pay for it, then what is this wisdom? Wisdom is hidden from every living thing on earth. Even birds in the sky cannot see it. But the funniest thing, death and destruction only heard its rumours. Wisdom must be so powerful, Job looked out for it with all his power, Solomon instructed, it is the most important thing man should look out for; then how can we get wisdom. But wisdom is living with us but no man knows, here God said, “The fear of the Lord, that is wisdom; and to depart from evil is understanding”.
If you lack the fear of God, you lack wisdom and when you fail to depart from sin, you are the greatest fool. Wisdom is when you are cut in the web of iniquity and you flee; Joseph was a wise man when he ran away from Pothipar’s wife. It is wisdom for you to stay away from anything called, evil. The most important thing in life is not money; it is the fear of God. If you have the fear of God, you have everything. Wisdom dwells with prudence, and find out knowledge of witty inventions. Make wisdom your friend now that you know how important it is.
