TESTED IN WILDERNESS

TESTED IN WILDERNESS

If Jesus the messiah was born in a manger and tested in the wilderness, where do you want to be tested? Some people used to say, “God, just test me with a good car or whatever and see whether I will not serve You”. The truth is God will never do such again, He had tested some people like that, but God lost them to the world. If He could test His Only Begotten Son in the wilderness, then who are you? God tested Adam and Eve with the Garden of Eden, they missed the mark, since then He had stopped giving birth to adults. Moses was born under a very harsh condition, raised and trained in the palace and called in the wilderness, he was tested too. Those whom God raised under pleasant conditions, people like Solomon, Ahaziah, Abijam, Nadab, all of them kings of Israel and Judah, raised in the palace, but the Bible says, they did that which was evil in the sight of God.

If you want to be great, do not complain about hunger, hunger should provoke you the more to achieve your goal. There is time for everything and there is always a beginning. Though your beginning maybe small but your latter end shall be greatly increased. Look beyond your present challenges and circumstances in order to get to your destination in time. Jesus did not just endure the Cross; He did because of the joy that was set before Him (Hebrews 12:1, 2). Do not complain when God is taking you through a process, it is for your own good. What you must do is to check whether your challenge is as a result of the glory ahead or because of your ignorance. Do a thorough check to know why you are in such situation. Yours may be due to disobedience unto God’s instruction or your refusal to follow the will of God. If this is true, God may be the One supervising your suffering.

If you manage your wilderness experience, you will surely thank God for those years. There is nothing like overnight success, let God make you. It takes close to twenty years before a life is made, look at all the most successful people, in politics, in business, in ministry, they did not just appear; they had their wilderness experience. The point is, depending on what God want you to become, you determine the period you spend in your own wilderness (1 Peter 5:10). Take time to know your purpose, ask for direction and ensure you pass through the process. Whatever skill you want to learn has duration, go through it. Know ye therefore, there is no shortcut to the top. Even if anybody wants to help, they will still ask about what you can do, so know why and what you are suffering for in order to have a glorious future and become a reliable person. Jesus did not just become the Lord and Saviour, He suffered for it too.

Word Affirmation: Though MY beginning was small, yet MY latter end shall greatly increase – Job 8:7 (Don't just say it, mean it!)

“Every second counts for those who know there is time for everything.”
