SENT TO HEAL THE BROKENHEARTED (3)
Our Role in Healing the Brokenhearted
As followers of Christ, we are called to be His hands and feet in the world. Just as Jesus was sent to heal the brokenhearted, we are sent to bring His healing to those around us. This does not mean that we can heal people in our own strength, but it means that we can point them to the one who can.
We can offer a listening ear, a word of encouragement, or a prayer. We can be agents of God’s love and compassion, helping others find healing in Jesus. In Galatians 6:2, we are instructed to “Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.” When we come alongside someone who is hurting, we are fulfilling the mission of Jesus.
Prayer is a powerful tool in the healing process. When we pray for the brokenhearted, we invite God to work in their lives in a special way. James 5:16 tells us that “The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.” Prayer can bring comfort, strength, and healing to those who are hurting.
When we encounter people who are brokenhearted, one of the greatest things we can do is to pray for them and with them. We can ask God to bring healing to their hearts and to bind up their wounds.
Jesus was sent to heal the brokenhearted, and He continues to offer healing to those who are hurting today. Whether you are experiencing a broken heart yourself or know someone who is, take comfort in knowing that Jesus is near to the brokenhearted. He is the healer of hearts, and He promises to bind up every wound.
As His followers, we are called to be agents of His healing in the world. Let us reach out to those who are hurting with the compassion of Christ, offering them the hope and healing that only He can give.

"Jesus is the healer of the brokenhearted, binding up every wound and offering hope and restoration."
