NOBODY CONGRATULATE A STARTER

Nobody congratulate a starter, it is those who finish well that people associate with and congratulate. Never mind if you are not giving due recognition when you are passing through your season of preparation, many a times people missed their destination or lost focus people they want people’s admiration. Due recognition will come when you have done what you needed to do, when you have learnt and gain knowledge in your respective field or assignment, therefore, courting people’s praises while you have not done what you needed to do can derail one’s plan.

Naomi and Ruth returned to Bethlehem from Moab after the former lost her husband and two sons, when they entered into the city, the people were moved, though about them, but only Naomi was given due recognition. Is this Naomi? (Ruth 1:19). Ruth was unknown to them and so she did not deserve their attention and time, this may be discouraging for a young woman who just lost her husband and left her own people to be with strangers. The young woman was not deterred, she put herself into the job, she did not set out to marry another man, but to make her mother-in-law happy. She ensured she found a place to work, not minding her situation and what she may encounter. She focused on her goal.

For a man who wants to reach his goal in time, what matter most should be his destination, not his distractions or distracters. Ruth did not allow her situation to distract her, she did not allow people’s attitudes and behaviours to also constitute a stumbling block, and she was an ardent goal getter. Hebrews 12:2 say concerning Jesus the Christ and want us to emulate such an attitude, it says, “Looking unto Jesus the Author and Finisher of our Faith; who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.” Can you endure the shame and disgrace associates with your assignment or idea? Do you look at the social, political, economic and personal situation in your environment and home to forfeit the good plan of God for your life? Romans 8:28, “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose”. Do not be distracted, be focus.

Ruth did not allow the land to distract her; she did not allow what to gain distract her. She did not say after all, this people did not recognize my contributions, I pitied my mother-in-law, now I can have a man to marry. She allowed her season of preparation to finish it work and she was honoured for perseverance. Those who did not give her due recognition in the beginning now praised her in the end. She finished her assignment in just four chapters, many people prolong their seasons of preparation because of complaints and allowing distractions and before they realized they have missed a step, time has gone. They have to start all over again. You are the only person that determines your season of preparation, it does not take eternity, 1 Peter 5:10 says, “After that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, establish, strengthen, settle you.” It does not take eternity to come out of life’s struggle. Do not prolong your days of suffering, look unto the goal and you will finish well.

Word Affirmation: “But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, establish, strengthen, settle you." – 1 Peter 5:10. (Don't just say it, mean it!)

“ For a man who wants to reach his goal in time, what matter most should be his destination, not his distractions or distracters. "
