NO OTHER GODS

God is God is in His own class, He cannot be compared with any other. Do you really know Him? When you say God is the King of kings and Lord of lords; what does it really mean? It does NOT mean He is King over all the earthly kings alone, it means God is King in His own class. When you compare God with lesser gods, it is like when you compare ‘Bugatti La Voiture Noire’ with other cars, this one is a car in its own class, check its price, speed (450km/h), interior and the likes. A one Bugatti is as if you have 80 Mercedez Benx AMG S 65 Sedan (2020 model) in your convoy or you drive 464 Toyota Prado (2020 Model) at once. God is more than any god. He is incomparable.

No matter your plan, stop calculating God with your brain so that you can be easily satisfied. God is still God without your permission. He is to be feared and referenced, He says, “I am the Lord your God, beside me no one else (Isaiah 43:11; 44:6). Who and what are you bowing to? What’s it that represent God in your life? None is incomparable, none can ever replace God. A David cannot be compared with a Goliath, but what was behind each of them made one to rise and other to fall. So who is behind you? Do you really know the God you serve? Do you really have God behind you? The owner of a company may not KNOW his employees yet all the employees work for him. Never serve the God of your parent alone, desire to know this God yourself. Ask Him to reintroduce Himself to you and take you on a journey in order to know Him.

God is Governor Over Destinies (GOD). He created the entire universe; He owns you and your existence. He revealed Himself to the Israelites in different ways, showed Himself to Saul and changed his name to Paul. Samuel who slept in God’s temple day and night did not get to know God until when God called unto him. You can be in the presence of God and not present in His presence. You can be a Methuselah in the church and never come to the knowledge of God. Having a vision and running a vision is not the same, you may have an idea of God and never come to His knowledge. You can sing His praise and lead choruses during praise time and never realised the One you praised. The very first step for a genuine believer is the desire to know Him. Christ said, I am the Way, the Truth and the Life. The only way to the Father is through Jesus Christ (John 14:6). You can equally know Him through His acts in the Bible, your environment, testimonies from other brethren and visitation to various sites to see his creations. Finally, listen to His instructions in our today’s text and act accordingly. Have a God-filled day.

Word Affirmation: But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that I have suffered a while, make ME perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle ME – 1 Peter 5:10 (Don't just say it, mean it!)
