NEIGHBOURS WITH EMPTY VESSELS

Do you have people around, men of capacities that can help your vision or grow it? Many of us have thousands of friends on Facebook but have few neighbours, we have surrounded ourselves with men that can only like our pictures but will never deem it fit to feature in our future. Beloved, if you are broke; it is because you lack men with empty vessels, those who can help you to translate your dream to goals. Note this, in reality, you do not choose your neighbours, circumstances does. Pause and look around where you live, were you the one that invite those neighbours? i guess, no. likewise, men and women around you did not come by chance, they are there for a purpose. There is nobody around you that’s worthless, no one in your circle of friends that’s useless but the challenge is, many of us fails to define relationship hence we do not know what we have.

The certain wife of the prophet did not know she had neighbours with empty vessels that she can use to turn her situation around until the man of God open her eyes to it. Many of us live in abject poverty because we look down on people around us. David indeed (in 1 Samuel 30) had received God’s prophecy to pursue, overtake and recover all, but this would not have become possible if he failed to recognise the young Egyptian left behind by his master. Jesus wouldn’t have performed the miracle of feeding five thousand souls with five loaves of bread and two fishes, if He did not recognize the little poor boy that provided the items. Men of capacities are men that can translate your idea to reality, they might not have enough money, but they have information that can help your idea. They might also be mighty men which you need to relate with ahead of time. If you have vision, you need men and women who really have your time to bring it to pass.

Will you take time to x-ray people around you, your friends in church, the groups you belong to, friends on Facebook, contacts on Whatsapp, your followers on Instagram or Twitter, your colleagues in the office or that messenger in your place of work and see how these people can help your vision? Jesus from the twelve disciples received the one hundred and twenty disciples who translated His assignment into a great mission that you and I are benefiting from today. You can imagine if Elisha was not there for that Prophet’s wife, her two sons would have become slaves; she might encounter the man of God but still need also the men with empty vessels (his neighbours). Note this, your vision determines the men around, if you do not have a vision, you will not only find yourself in the bus of the foolish, butl surely become one. To get the support of your neighbours, you too must be a good neighbour; nobody will lend their empty vessels unto you if they have not found you trustworthy.
