MEND YOUR NET
Jesus never called the irresponsible; He called all His disciples while they were in their businesses. Of a note, He called James and John while they were mending their nets. The two sons of Zebedee realized their nets need amendment and did not wait for their father to do it for them. They were doing this, when Jesus called them into greater Assignment. God has never called the idle, lazy people and fools who think they can gain God by praying alone; He hates idleness with passion. Have you complain of no job? You are not mending your net, you are only talking about if you have opportunity, you will cast your net. The truth is, if you do not know the state of your net and opportunity suddenly come, you then throw your net and realize your catch escape. It will be too painful, so ensure you sit down like the sons of Zebedee to mend your own net.
How do you mend your own net? It depends on what you are pursuing, for example, what come to mind when you see or receive a job vacancy? You look through it and recognize that you do not have the qualification or some of the requirements they are asking for, you decided not to apply, then you are waiting for another opportunity. You are missing it. Assuming foreign language is part of the job requirements or you must have a professional certification in your field, to mend your net is to go register for a foreign language class or a professional certification program, because such opportunity will present itself again, and when it comes and you do not possess the qualification, it will pass likewise. It is not God that’s behind your challenge; it is you that is supervising your failure.
Are you a servant of God, when was the last time you do a thorough searching of the Word of God? Don’t you know there are levels of preparation and studying of the Bible? You must understand that knowledge as God said in the Bible has now filled the world today and you need to be on top of your game. Are you a job seeker and you realized all the companies were asking for years of experience? You can mend your net by volunteering your knowledge to a company nearby, to a cause or to a non-governmental organization; by this you will gain not only knowledge, but have years of working experience and when next there is a vacancy call, you have a better chance of getting a job.
You dream of becoming a billionaire and you paste beautiful images of cars, houses in your room and you do not have a skill. You are only deceiving yourself. You can still mend your net by approaching a skill acquisition centre of choice and become an apprentice, it will not be long before you become a master and with God on your side, that dream will surely come to pass. Are you having difficulties in reaching heaven? Heaven only place calls to those who are busy. What are you doing? Don’t be idle. Support a mission, volunteer in your church and/or use your talent for God and wherever they will appreciate it and all to the glory of God. Remember, if you do not mend your net, you may miss great catch. Your season and time will surely come.
