TOPIC: LOOSE NOT YOUR GUARD
TEXT: LUKE 24:13-35
MEMORY VERSE: “And except that the Lord had shortened those days, no flesh should be saved: but for the elect's sake, whom he hath chosen, he hath shortened the days.” – Mark 13:20

After the death and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ and when the women went to His sepulchre and told others that He had risen, two of Jesus’ disciples left Jerusalem to their village, they have been with Jesus all this while, eat and dine with Him, Jesus death did not make them to leave, but it was the event of His resurrection that brought confusion to them, they were more confused than before hence the resurrected Jesus had to join them on their way down to Emmaus. Beginning from Moses unto Prophets, Jesus began to teach them the event that just occurred and at last He broke bread with them to reveal Himself and open their eyes. These disciples, one of them Cleopas, unfastened their guards and thrown away all they have learnt and received from Jesus because of one event.

Beloved, do not be confused by the event happening in our world today, God may permit it because He has giving the world to men but His Day of Judgement is coming. DO not confused coronavirus with the Judgement Day of the Lord. Everybody will see Jesus at His appearance. Continue to prepare for His second coming in order to reign and rule with Him. By the time Cleopas and the other disciple got back to Jerusalem the good news they supposed to bring to others had become dead news as others have heard about resurrected Jesus. I will not want you to be ignorant of the happenings in the world, as a believer, you must search the scriptures daily in order to equip and engage yourself with the Word. God will never leave His own people nor forsaken them, let us be wise than the devil. Be vigilant.
