LET NOT YOUR HEART BE TROUBLED

LET NOT YOUR HEART BE TROUBLED

Jesus not long just washed the Apostles’ feet, something that a master does not suppose do, not only that, He gave them a new commandment contrary to the ones they understood, and revealed the hearts of His disciples. Judas Iscariot, the treasurer will soon become a betrayer, Peter the leader, the rock will soon turn to a denier (John 13). None of them knew who was next to receiving His verdict; they were troubled and perplexed but Jesus who knows the intent of the heart of man said unto them, let not your heart be troubled (John 14:1).

Therefore, let us consider the statement, “Let not your heart be troubled.”

YOUR: “You that are my disciples and followers, my redeemed, chosen, sanctified ones, however others are overwhelmed with the sorrows of this present time, be not you so, for you know better. Christ's disciples should do more than others, should keep their minds quiet, when everything else is unquiet.

HEART: “Though the nation and city be troubled, though your flock and people around are troubled, yet let not your heart be troubled. Keep possession of your heart when you cannot keep possession of nothing else.” The heart is the main stronghold; whatever you do, keep trouble from your heart, keep this with all diligence, for out of it are the issues of life. The spirit must sustain the infirmity; therefore, see that this be not wounded.

TROUBLED: Be not so troubled as to be put into a hurry and confusion, He did not say, “Let not your hearts be sensible of the grief, or sad because of them” but, “Be not dishevelled and discomposed, be not cast down and disquieted.

You are living in already troubled world, there can be no peace in this world; the only place where there can be peace is with Christ’s disciples, Jesus left His Peace with you His follower. Do not be troubled when you hear wars and rumour of wars. You will hear about unimaginable events, but keep your heart with all diligence. Do not let your heart be troubled, only believe in God and believe also in Christ Jesus, He will soon return.

Word Affirmation: "As for me, I will call upon God; and the LORD shall save me." - Psalm 55:16 (Don't just say it, mean it!)

“Christ's disciples should do more than others, should keep their minds quiet, when everything else is unquiet.”
