Remember, you must be regenerated by water and Spirit, the old gene in you must die. God sent Peter to the house of Cornelius, a righteous man who had prepared himself and his household for God’s visitation. When Peter began to preach, the Holy Spirit fell on those who heard the Word and He said, “Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we? And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord“- Act 10:47, 48. If you are indeed of God, you must have a rebirth through these two baptisms, water and Spirit (power and fire with evidence of speaking in tongues). This is the foundation; therefore, check your list if you have these, Jesus also experienced the two baptisms – Matthew 3:13-17.
It is impossible for you to receive Jesus genuinely and your views, conversations, mode of dressings and activities not change. You cannot just go to God the way you are without genuine repentance and expect God to receive you, maybe you are told it is just a matter of grace, committing sin does not mean anything, that’s deception if you received such a message. That’s mean the Jesus you received is a repackaged one, not Jesus of the Bible. It is impossible to receive Jesus and nothing will not die inside of you. For what you mostly like and indulge in before you receive Jesus, you will automatically dislike immediately you give your life to Christ. That’s genuine repentance. What you do before, you do them no more, such has been nailed to the Cross of Calvary, but it is a pity that many that nailed their sins to the Cross at the altar collected it back when they rise up from such altar.
If you are in such position, your case is worse. For it is better to not receive Jesus at all than for you to now have double spirits inside of you, that’s the more reason why you behave the way you do. Two demons are living inside of you, you need deliverance. Jesus saw Nathanael approaching, and said of him; behold an Israelite indeed, in whom is no guile! Nathanael asked, "How do You know me?" Jesus answered, "I saw you when you were under the fig tree, before Philip told you about Me." Nathanael answered and said unto Jesus, Rabbi, thou art the Son of God; thou art the King of Israel.
When Heaven is marking His own register, can they say of you, “here is a genuine child of God, in whom there is no shrewdness? A true Child of God must be straightforward and blameless, this is the reason for sanctification and justification process which a whole lots of Christians left behind. Today, we have replaced Sunday school classes, Bible Studies and baptismal classes with our own programs. How are we not going to have different Jesus in all places? Beloved, check the Jesus you received today before it is too late.
Word Affirmation: And he saith unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Hereafter ye shall see heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of man – John 1:51 (Don't just say it, mean it!)
