TEXT: ESTHER 2:1-18
MEMORY VERSE: “Rise up, ye women that are at ease; hear my voice,
ye careless daughters; give ear unto my speech. Many days
and years shall ye be troubled, ye careless women: for the vintage shall fail,
the gathering shall not come.” – Isaiah 32:9-10
Seven maidens were given to Esther as part of her purification packages; the question is, who are your friends? Who do you have around? Those who fuels your inner beauty to attract the glory of God or those who always fan your physical beauty until you commit fornication? Who and what you have around determines how far you go in life, if you do not have friends that talks about the things of God around you always, except the ones who behaved fashionable, asking for your adornment pack always and telling the latest in the world of beauty, beloved, I am afraid, this your behaviour will not allow you to cross to the other side of glory and real beauty. It is not until you walk naked that people sees your beauty, you see some ladies who unashamedly indulge in revealing their bodies whereas the same people passworded their phones, lock their SIM cards with PIN codes and fight against whosoever that invade their privacy online. And what they supposed to protect, their physical bodies are what people see freely. Tell slay queens to repent before beauty send them to lake of fire.
Sarah, the mother of faith was a beautiful woman but never lost the plan of God for her life, she was always there for her husband and household (Genesis 12:11, 14; Hebrew 11:11; 1 Peter 3:6). Rebecca also was said to be a beautiful damsel, she never truncated the plan of God for her life, her virginity was intact at the time it was required, she met the condition of a woman who must be the carrier of God’s heritage and fit for the plan and many more women in the Bible such as Ruth, Rachael, Deborah, Abigail and Esther. These ones understood the purposes of God for their lives that it is more than beauty. Somebody said, “A beautiful woman is one with a beautiful heart. She may be covered with mud or sores but only her foot fit the glass slipper”.
Esther became the queen and stepped into God’s purpose for her life, the reason why she came on the throne showed up, which was to preserved her people. She saved her people with uncommon faith, courage, prayers and wisdom. Esther was not an empty vessel, she carried something, she went to the king’s presence by faith and obtain a new decree to save her people alive and destroyed God’s enemy, Haman by her uncommon skills and knowledge. Girlfriends of God, this is the reason why God created you wonderfully and beautifully to save many men alive, take them to God, and not to hell with your beauty. A Crown of Glory awaits you, if you diligently follow His purpose and willingly obey.
Romans 14:12 says, “Every one of us shall give account of himself to God.” You will give an account of your stewardship to God, all what you do with your beauty, handsomeness, time and resources. To become a ruler of many cities in the Kingdom of God, use your beauty, talents and time for the things of God. To the rest of us, the marriage supper of the Lamb is prepared and ready, the Bridegroom is bidding you to come whether you are a woman or man. Will you come today? Revelation 19:7-9 says, “Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to Him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and His wife hath made herself ready. And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints. And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God.”
To join the Maid of Honour, you must give your life to Christ, you must be born again and you can only be born again by confessing your sins, ask God for forgiveness and repent totally from your sins; then confess Jesus Christ as the Only Begotten Son of the Father and make Him your Lord and personal Saviour. Welcome to the household of God, the Girlfriend of God.
