GIRLFRIENDS OF GOD (3)

TOPIC: GIRLFRIENDS OF GOD (3)
TEXT: 1 PETER 3:1-6
MEMORY VERSE: “Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the LORD, she shall be praised.” – Proverbs 31:30

Everything God created was good except when He formed man in His own image, He saw that man being alone was not good, therefore, He created a help meet for the man. When God created the woman, the Bible says, God rested from all His works. The world became perfect and everything was fine until the man left the woman behind. The world is still paying for Adam’s error, for leaving the woman behind while devil struck. Sisters, aunties, mummies, mothers and daughters, you are in the world to make the world better but at every time you mess up, the world will be in disarray. Take your place! For every wayward child you see on the street, a woman has messed up somewhere. Woman, you are valuable, therefore, mind what you do and take your positions in God, you are God’s beloved, the last of His works, the bottom pot, the sweetest part; you are His beautiful bride. So therefore become the woman that God created. You are His useful vessels, shine forth (Gen. 2:18-23).

The King (God) is still looking for fair young virgins, the ones He would loved to decorate with His golden crown, therefore, do not hide your identity under artificial beauty materials. Keep your identity and brood on it so as to become a better person, not just a woman of fashion, but a woman of substance whom God can rely on at anytime. A woman like Deborah who judged and led the people of God righteously and victoriously, the essence of your beauty is for the glory of God to shine abroad, to penetrate into any gate in order to save God’s people from calamity. Women arise and take your positions for God. Leave the mundane thing of fashion and clothing for those who are not ready to do exploit for God.

Misuse of natural beauty has caused more damages to purpose and plans today because many young women failed to understand the essence of their creation. Many young women have not asked God, why did you create me? God, what do you want from me? Why am I like this? No, they rely on their beauties and body shapes and begin to transact with it. God created everything for His glory. Let me remind you, beauty fades with age, so if you are more concerned about your outer appearance, you will be unhappy when the wrinkles come and the number on the scales goes up. You will be surprised that at age 20, the sign of aging may show up. If you place a young women whose beauty is limited to physical beauty, say age 18 who loves fashion and put much emphasis on revealing dresses, place her side by side with another young lady, average looking who loves God more than anything, she is more beautiful in the eyes of God and will be sought after by men.

Apostle Peter upon whom the Church was built admonished that beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as braided hair, the wearing of gold jewellery instead it should be that of inner man, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quite spirit. This does not mean it is wrong to braid your hair or wear nice clothes and jewellery, it is to warn you not to follow the pattern of this world who spend hours doing their hairs and makeup rather than working on their inner beautiful, the kind that last forever (1 Peter 3:3-4).

Word Affirmation: "And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper." - Psalms 1:3 (Don't just say it, mean it!)

“For every wayward child you see on the street, a woman has messed up somewhere.”
