ENTERING INTO THE SUPERNATURAL
John the beloved was the closest to the Lord Jesus Christ among all of His disciples, he was always privilege to know what would happen during the earthly ministry of Jesus, and he was part of the inner circus of Jesus’ disciples. When Peter wanted to know who Jesus was talking about during the last supper, he beckoned unto John (John 13:21-26). He knew the heart of Jesus and devoted his life unto the Word of God. He saw Jesus beyond just his Master, he saw Him as the Word of God and described Him so in John 1. After Jesus ascension, the Apostles did great exploits and miracles in Jerusalem and beyond, many of them operated under the grace given to them, but one who operated beyond the physical was John the beloved. He saw beyond the eyes, the Lord gave him revelation of events to come, what they do in Heaven and what will befall the earth in the end. John became the only man who saw the Heaven, New Heaven and New Earth, events and structures while still living in the body here on earth. He entered into God’s Revelation.
What secrets did John rely on to gain access into such privilege? 1) John was a man of the Word, John understood the Word of God even as a young man. If you want to enter into the supernatural like John, you must understand the word of God (John 1; 1 John 1). 2) John was always in the Spirit, in the presence of God. John was in tribulation, persecution and banished to the Isle of Patmos as his own punishment for proclaiming the Gospel of Christ, yet the man was always in the Spirit and observed the Lord’s Day. Have you been taking away from the presence of the Lord by the affliction in your life? Not John, he would not want to leave God’s presence. Unlike many people, their light afflictions had taken them away from God. Whatever problem you are facing should be what binds and ties you to the God’s Apron. If God can open your eyes and reveal His mind unto you, you will forget your problem. Do you still doubt whether there is God or not, just pray to God to reveal Himself to you, continue to stay in His presence and study the Word, no one will force you to preach the Gospel anymore, because what you will see, the word of mouth cannot comprehend.
3) To enter into the supernatural and operate therein, you must learn to be alone in the presence of God. When was the last time you are alone with God? And you want to enter into the realm of the Spirit with all the noise around you? It is impossible. You must have a quiet atmosphere to really hear from God and constant separation to see beyond the physical. Answers to prayer become evasive because one does not have the time to stay in His presence. While John was yet to finish his race on this other side of the world, he had already seen a new earth, new heaven and the fate of this world. Many believers have taken a long journey with God in company of the multitude, yet they have not taking a few hours journey with God alone. If you want to get different result in God, approach God differently.
Word Affirmation: “And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away." - Rev 21:4 (Don't just say it, mean it!)
