TOPIC: DEALING WITH DESTINY WASTERS (1)
TEXT: MATTHEW 2:13-23

For every position, there is an opposition and for every destiny, there is an enemy; a destroyer of purpose, a killer of destiny. There is a power, an evil agenda that do not want you to fulfil destiny, you have to deal with them in time if you do not want to live a miserable life. They are within your environment, in your close contacts, those you will never believe can harm you. Beloved, you must rise up like Samson and David to confront these enemies of yours.

Several years ago, as a drama minister, we went for a rehearsal one night at our Ibadan church for an outing in Lagos. There was no script to rehearse with and as a leader of the group I must come up with what to present at this important program, bending my head where I sat, a script was divinely given titled, “Kunle, the Man with Seven Glories”. After our presentation at the Lagos Church, a man came to me during the vigil and told me he’s the one we are ministering to. Kunle was a character who came to the world with seven great glories but his destiny was tampered with by enemies within, without and by his own attitudes and behaviours. Many are in Kunle’s shoe today, roaming the streets of their communities and villages having nothing to show. Great men and women becoming paupers and defeated, as a child of God never taken anything for granted, you have a responsible to defend your destiny.

Jesus said, “In this world, you shall have tribulation”. Job said, “Man that is born of a woman is of few days, and full of trouble.” – Job 14:1. In this few days of yours, you must fulfil your destiny. Jesus was conceived through the Holy Spirit, it didn’t stop the enemy to say they will allow Him to fulfil His divine purpose, He was pursued, if not for the help of God, He would have been destroyed with the rest of the children in His generation. Faith and wisdom kept Moses from the destruction of Egyptians, if not that he had godly parents and sibling that preserved his destiny, he would have been buried with all the powers that divided the red sea and delivered the Israelites from bondage embedded in him.

Destiny wasters are agents, powers and personalities designed and assigned to kill, waste one’s destiny. They are created to ruin and derail one’s destiny and never allow it to come to pass. They orchestrate circumstances where a person who really needs help does not receive any. Those who normally suppose to help would suddenly break their promises without any cogent reason. You must strive to pursue your pursuers, note; a destiny fulfilment on your part is breakthrough for many destinies. Check the lives of Jesus, Moses and Joseph.
