CHRIST’S TRIBUNAL

CHRIST’S TRIBUNAL

A day of judgement is coming in which every man shall be sentenced to a state of everlasting happiness, or misery according to what he did in this world. Jesus described the scene and the results of the judgment in terms of separating sheep from goats. Those who are saved, who are on the right hand, will experience for eternity all the beauties and blessings of heaven: receiving a “crown of life” (Revelation 2:10),
enjoying “a new heaven and a new earth,”
being part of “new Jerusalem,”
living in the presence of “God Himself,”
having God “wipe away every tear from their eyes,”
no longer being subject to “mourning, or crying, or pain.”

The painful and baneful aspects of human existence will have “passed away” (Revelation 21:1–4)!

In contrast, concerning those who are lost, who are on the left hand, they shall be punished with everlasting destruction (2 Thessalonians 1:7–9, 2 Peter 3:7, Revelation 20:15). How long will punishment last for those who are sent to hell? Jesus said that they will “go away into eternal punishment” (Matthew 25:46). The Book of Revelation says, concerning those in hell, “The smoke of their torment goes up forever and ever” (Revelation 14:11)! Just as heaven is for an eternity, so is hell eternal!

One of the best things about heaven is that its joys never end; similarly, the worst thing about hell is that its pains are never alleviated and its sorrows never stop!

Where will you spend your eternity? Surely, this world will come to an end one day, how and with whom you want to spend your hereafter depend on what you are doing today. Take this to mind, there is life after death and you and I will surely receive our reward from the righteous Judge. What is happening presently in the world is just a warning – many of us might be rejoicing that we’re left behind; we did not die from coronavirus but those that would be left behind after rapture would not find it funny. They will pay with their blood and cry bitterly. Repent now for the Kingdom of God is at hand.

Word Affirmation: “ Behold, the Lord GOD will help me; who is he that shall condemn me? lo, they all shall wax old as a garment; the moth shall eat them up." - Isaiah 50:9 (Don't just say it, mean it!)

“Where you will spend your eternity depend on these two things: the love for God and the love for your neighbours. Take heed!”
