CAST DOWN BUT NOT DESTROYED (1)

TOPIC: CAST DOWN BUT NOT DESTROYED (1)
TEXT: 2 CORINTHIANS 4:7-10
MEMORY VERSE: “As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the daylong; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.” – Romans 8:36-37

It seems the COVID-19 reality is done on us, our cities are being lockdown totally and many as of now do not still have hope for survival. The good news is, this season will pass and we will bounce back again as a people and as a nation, we will come out together stronger. Initially, when the city authority declared stay at home order, I did not have enough with me, having exhausted my income on a trip recently made, I was a bit troubled but early the following morning I heard a voice which says, “there still windows in heaven”. Instantly, I had peace in my inner man and I believe it strongly. At a later time when somebody came to ask about what to do as there’s rumour of locking down the entire city, I said to the individual there is still window in heaven but on ground there was nothing. A friend of mine asked what do we do at this time, I said to him; there are still windows in heaven. To God be the glory, I can testify to God faithfulness at this time. There are Angels around waiting for your order.

Beloved, your entire house may look dry, there may be no hope of what to eat, I have good news for you, don’t look at the world news, look at the “Word News”, which is the GOODNEWS: There Are Still Windows in Heaven. What I want you to understand is this; a genuine child of God can never be stranded. It may look as if the end has come but it is just a bend. Our problem is, we are not persevere enough and always in haste. But I want you to look to the Hill where comes your help, which is the Lord, the maker of the Heavens and Earth. Your government may have lockdown the city without any palliative measures; never look at that but look unto God, because there are still windows in heaven.

In 1 Kings 17:1-7, Elijah predicted drought in the land of Israel that there would be no dew nor rain for three years but the Word of God came to Elijah to go and hide himself by brook Cherith, there God commanded ravens to bring bread and flesh to the man of God. The same God is still alive, who says He cannot send you bread by the wings of a ravenous bird. What concerns you is to believe. At this critical time, anything is possible. Hear God, He said, call to mind the things He had done in the past because I AM is God, and no one else and no one like Him. He continues “I declare the end from the beginning and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure: calling a ravenous bird from the east, the man that executeth my counsel from a far country: yea, I have spoken it, I will also bring it to pass; I have purposed it, I will also do it” (Isaiah 46:9-11). Relax beloveth, there is a God who uses the earth as His footstool.

Out there, there are uncertainties and hopelessness; I want you to believe that you will survive it or let me say, we will survive this season. Do not listen to news of recession or job loss at this time, that is not your concern now. Arm yourself with this Word for the Moment: We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed; Let these words be your strength at this time, do not be afraid but have strong faith in God, He will show up.

Peradventure you are among those God have blessed at this time and have enough to eat, I urge you to look around you to see who you can help. The family next door may not have anything to eat, I urge you in the name of God to show them love but if you refuse their help will come from Zion. This is not the time to be selfish, look out for others in need. Remember, we still need one another at this critical time.

“Your government may have lockdown the city without any palliative measures; never look at that but look unto God, because there are still windows in heaven.”
