ARISE DOES NOT MEAN STRUGGLE (2)
TOPIC: ARISE DOES NOT MEAN STRUGGLE (2)
TEXT: ISAIAH 60:1-22
MEMORY VERSE: "And Simon answering said unto Him, Master, we have toiled all the night,
and have taken nothing: nevertheless at Thy Word I will let down
the net" - Luke 5:5
Jesus said unto Peter and his partners "Take the boat into the deep water. If all of you will put your nets into the water, you will catch some fish" but they said unto Jesus, we have toiled all the night, we have struggled, laboured and now watching our nets because for today we are out of business, but the Word of God is never out of business. Peter replied, “At Thy Word I will let down the net.” I, Peter will try the Word, even if others are not ready; and when they had this done, they inclosed a great multitude of fishes: and their net brake.
It was not peter’s effort or work that brought about the great multitude of fishes; it was the Word of God. Where there is dearth of the Word, men will struggle. It was not ravenous bird that fed Elijah when drought ravaged the land, it was the Word of God (1 Kings 17:1-6) and it was not Peter’s skill that brought out money out of the first fish, it was the Word of Jesus (Matthew 17:27). So what do you think is bringing you money, your work or the Word? By your fruits, proofs and results we shall know, for it is better to labour under the Word than labour under workloads.
If you take a look at the Word of God in Isaiah 60, there is no place that He says you do anything, He even said, He will bring gold unto you instead of brass. Did He say you should come exchange what you have for gold? No! God said, I will bring gold, silver, and all good things unto you without any struggle. So stop struggling, locate the Word and proclaim Him, there shall be great results like that of Peter. You will be fed like Elijah during your dry season and God will give you your daily bread, daily provision and your prosperity shall come daily. Only know that it is not what you do that bring you blessing, it is the Word of God, the earlier you know the better. Stop cheating yourself.
It is better to sit down with the Word when you do not have job to do rather than go out and struggle with the world. If it’s possible surround your room, office and place of business with the Word of God. Paste the Word of God on your walls, positive words, scriptures that speak to your situation and when you have achieved your goals, look out for new Word to paste and you will see things working for your good. The Word of God is the greatest and potent force that brings about good things. So walk more in the Word, struggle less.
The Word of God which is God can never return to Him void, see how the Word addresses Himself, ”Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me, declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure: calling a ravenous bird from the east, the man that executes my counsel from a far country: yea, I have spoken it, I will also bring it to pass; I have purposed it, I will also do it” - Isa 46:9-11.
Therefore, in the remaining days of this year and beyond, together we shall be doing DAILY AFFIRMATION of the Word of God before we proceed for our daily activities. Prepare, for something is about to happen (for your good) and story about to change. No doubt you shall have tangible results when you profess the Word of God and have absolute faith in Him. Remember, it is not what you does that bring you results, it is the Word. (Note: The Word of God is not IT, the Word is HIM).
“The Word of God is never out of business.”
