ACTION SPEAKS (3)

ACTION SPEAKS (3)

When Elisha the man of God prophesied about the abundance at the gate of Samaria, everybody went to sleep, but the Word of God was looking for whom to work with. He found a desire to take action in the four lepers at the gate where the prophecy will come to pass. It was not only these four lepers that lived in this city at this time; there were other lepers and able men also in the city. But the Word of God was only looking for those who have occupations, those who are responsible, not just in words, but in action. These four leprous men said, “Why sit we here until we die.” The Bible says, and they rose up in the twilight, when it was not convenient, when others are fast asleep and they got results.

Truly, the prophecy came to pass, a measure of fine flour was sold for a shekel, and two measures of barley for a shekel, at the gate of Samaria. But not for the four lepers, they bought their own flour and wheat with no money. Are you an actor or spectator? An actor is somebody who acts, somebody who makes real what is not real, spectator is somebody who deals in speculation, who not only pays to watch the actors performing, but spend his/her time and resources to watch them. Did the Bible say gold, silver or raiment was on sale at the gate of Samaria? Never, men of action (the four lepers) had carried them all and hide. They were the latest millionaires in town while others were busy buying food with their hard-earned money.

One man of God said, “We do not walk into prophecy, we war into it.” God has given us all things pertaining to life and godliness; it is left to you to take advantage of it. It is your responsibility to locate a new ground and bring out something instead of crying unnecessarily or fighting others over nothing. “The Lord our God said to us in Horeb, ‘You have stayed long enough at this mountain. Turn and take your journey, and go to the hill country of the Amorites. See, I have set the land before you. Go in and take possession…” - Deuteronomy 1:6-8. Moses the great prophet charged the people to go and take the possession of the Land God has promised them. The opportunities have been there for them, but the Israelites kept wallowing in poverty in the wilderness, until the man of God told them to go forward. What is hindering you to take possession of what God has laid in your heart? It is your inaction, it is not the devil. Devil does not have power over a man of action. If you refuse to stand up and fight, you are to be blame, not God.

Do not allow the situation in the land to weigh you down or stop you to achieve your goal, go out and possess your possession, the Lord has set the land before you. It is just a matter of days before you reach your destination if only you can leave your comfort zone to your effort zone. The four lepers thought to perish at the hand of the Syrian Army but on getting there, they found no one except breakthrough, prosperity, surplus and abundance. Ruth went into the land of Bethlehemjudah in hopelessness but became a great woman to be mentioned in the lineage of Jesus Christ. Impossibility exist because you are not ready to rise up, your light will shine when you arise. There may be gross darkness around the people and upon the earth until you rise and move. Beloved, rise up this morning and take responsibility – Isaiah 60.

Word Affirmation: Behold, I have set the land before you: go in and possess the land which the LORD sware unto your fathers - Deuteronomy 1:8 (Don't just say it, mean it!)
