There Shall Be a Way

There Shall Be a Way

Life often presents situations where there seems to be no way forward, but God's word assures believers that He is the Way-Maker. Isaiah 43:19 proclaims, "Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert." This powerful declaration reveals that divine provision transcends human limitations. The wilderness represents dryness, desolation, and impossibility, but God's promise is to create a path where none exists. From the Red Sea crossing (Exodus 14:21-22) to the miraculous provision of manna (Exodus 16:14-15), scripture is filled with evidence of God making a way for His people.

Faith in God’s ability to make a way is essential in navigating life’s uncertainties. Abraham experienced this when God provided a ram in place of Isaac (Genesis 22:13-14). Likewise, in times of lack, closed doors, or overwhelming obstacles, believers must stand firm in the assurance that God orchestrates paths beyond human reasoning. Jesus Himself declared, "I am the way, the truth, and the life" (John 14:6), signifying that trusting in Him ensures divine direction and breakthrough.

For every believer, trusting in God's way-making power fosters hope and resilience. When the Israelites felt trapped between Pharaoh’s army and the Red Sea, God commanded Moses to stretch out his rod, and a miraculous path opened. This teaches that in the face of impossibilities, obedience and faith activate divine intervention. No matter the circumstance, rest in this truth: God always makes a way.
