The Crucifixion

The Crucifixion
The crucifixion of Jesus marks the greatest act of love ever shown to mankind. In Matthew 27, we read how Jesus was betrayed, falsely accused, mocked, and nailed to a cross. He was not a victim of fate—He was the Lamb of God, fulfilling divine purpose. With every drop of blood, He paid the price for our sins. Though the crowd saw defeat, heaven saw victory. The cross was not a mistake; it was the mission. Jesus bore the punishment we deserved so that we might receive the grace we could never earn.
At the moment of His death, the veil of the temple was torn from top to bottom. This was not just a physical event; it was a spiritual declaration. The wall that once separated man from God was destroyed. Access to the Father was now open to everyone through the Son. Jesus didn’t just die for us—He died as us, and in doing so, He conquered the power of sin. The cross is no longer a symbol of shame, but of salvation.
When you reflect on the crucifixion, do not only think of pain—think of purpose. Jesus' death proves how precious you are to God. It reminds us that we are loved beyond measure. Every time the enemy tries to shame you, point him to the cross. That’s where your guilt died. That’s where your freedom began.
Word Affirmation: “For thou, Lord, art good, and ready to forgive; and plenteous in mercy unto all them that call upon thee.” - Psalm 86:5 (KJV) (Don't just say it, mean it!)
“The crucifixion was not the end of Christ; it was the beginning of our redemption. The nails did not hold Him—love did.”
