I Am the Resurrection and the Life

TEXT: John 11

In John 11, Jesus makes one of the boldest statements ever spoken: “I am the resurrection and the life.” He speaks these words before raising Lazarus from the dead, demonstrating that resurrection isn’t just an event—it’s a Person. Martha believed in a future resurrection, but Jesus brought that hope into her present. When Christ is present, death loses its grip, and life takes over.

This statement changes how we face loss, delay, and even death. Jesus didn’t just offer comfort—He offered Himself. In Him is the power to revive dreams, heal wounds, and bring life where there was none. Lazarus had been dead four days—beyond hope. But Jesus stepped in and changed the narrative. No situation is too far gone when the Resurrection is involved.

When you carry Jesus, you carry resurrection. It doesn’t matter how long something has been dead—be it joy, peace, or purpose. If He speaks, it lives again. Let Him walk into your situation today and speak life.
