Enough-A Sign Stop to the Enemies
Enough-A Sign Stop to the Enemies
Throughout biblical history, God has displayed His power to set boundaries against the adversary, declaring "Enough!" when His people face oppression. One of the most striking examples is found in Exodus 14, where the Israelites stood before the Red Sea, pursued by Pharaoh’s army. In this moment of impending doom, God commanded Moses to stretch forth his rod, and the waters parted, allowing Israel to cross safely. But when the Egyptians pursued, the same waters that had provided salvation became their destruction. The Lord Himself declared an end to the enemy’s advance, proving that He alone determines the limits of their reach. Just as He did at the Red Sea, God intervenes at strategic moments in the lives of His children, demonstrating that the enemy’s power is not absolute.
The sovereignty of God is evident in His ability to silence opposition and declare a divine halt. Job 38:11 echoes this when God asks, "Hitherto shalt thou come, but no further: and here shall thy proud waves be stayed?" The Almighty places a divine limit on how far affliction can go, ensuring that His people are not utterly consumed. In Isaiah 54:17, He assures believers that "No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper." These declarations serve as divine barricades against the forces of darkness. Many believers may face situations where they feel overwhelmed, but the testimony of Scripture confirms that God steps in at the appointed time, drawing a definitive line against oppression. Just as the Red Sea closed upon Pharaoh’s army, so shall the works of darkness be brought to an end in the lives of those who trust in the Lord.
When God says "Enough," it signals the beginning of deliverance. This divine intervention transforms suffering into testimony and trials into triumph. Paul, in 2 Corinthians 12:9, recounts the Lord’s assurance: "My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness." Even when the enemy seems relentless, God’s power remains greater. The believer must trust in the sovereignty of God, knowing that at the right moment, He will put a stop to every adversarial scheme. As Psalm 46:10 declares, "Be still, and know that I am God." The battle is not ours but the Lord’s, and when He speaks, the enemy must retreat. Therefore, let faith rise in the heart of every believer, for when the Lord says, "Enough!" victory is assured.
