Communion with God

Communion with God
Communion with God is the essence of spiritual intimacy. In John 15, Jesus declares, “Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me” (John 15:4, KJV). This imagery of the vine and branches underscores the necessity of a continuous, life-giving connection with Christ.
True communion requires intentionality. Abiding in Christ involves prayer, studying His Word, and obedience to His commands. These disciplines keep us rooted in His love and empower us to bear fruit—not by our efforts but through His life flowing in us. Communion transforms our desires, aligning them with His will, and enables us to live victoriously.
The result of communion is joy and answered prayers. Jesus assures us in John 15:7, “If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.” This promise is not a blank cheque but an invitation to experience the fullness of God’s provision as we align our lives with His purposes. Communion with God is both our privilege and power, leading to abundant life. In addition, this relationship nurtures our spiritual growth, aligns us with His will, and produces the fruits of the Spirit. In communion, we find clarity, peace, and strength to navigate life’s challenges.
Word Affirmation: "He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings." (Psalm 40:2, KJV) (Don't just say it, mean it!)
“Communion with God is the heartbeat of a thriving spiritual life, where the soul draws strength and purpose from the divine vine.”
