BUILDING COMMUNITY

BUILDING COMMUNITY

One of the most important aspects of settling into a new location is building community. God created us for relationships and community. In the book of Hebrews, we are encouraged not to give up meeting together but to spur one another on toward love and good deeds.

When we move to a new place, it can be tempting to isolate ourselves. We might feel like we don’t belong or that it’s too difficult to start over. But God calls us to be part of a community where we can encourage and support one another.

Look for ways to connect with others in your new location. Join a local church, a small group, or a community organization. Be intentional about building relationships and creating a support system. As you invest in others, you will find that you are also encouraged and supported in return.

Prayer:

Father, thank You for the gift of community. Help me to build meaningful relationships in my new location and to be an encouragement to others. Surround me with people who will support and spur me on toward love and good deeds. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Word Affirmation: “ Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.  - Isaiah 43:19 (Don't just say it, mean it!)

“As you invest in others, you will find that you are also encouraged and supported in return."
