What Are You Doing in Padanaram? (4)

TOPIC: WHAT ARE YOU DOING IN PADANARAM (PART 4)
TEXT: GENESIS 29: 14-24
MEMORY VERSE: “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. ” - John 10:10

You will discover the real meaning of Padanaram in Genesis 28, Padanaram was the birthplace of Abraham and his ancestors, in the days of Abraham, it was formerly called Mesopotamia. The intention of Jacob was to marry only one wife, but in Padanaram he ended up marrying four. Every right step a man takes in a wrong location is equal to mistake. Devil does not have good intention for any man living in Padanaram (wrong location, will, vision and idea), his only intention is to steal, to kill and to destroy. Laban asked Jacob what his wages would be, the later replied, “I will serve for Rachael, your younger daughter”. And he indeed served for seven full years, at the end of these years, Rachael was withheld from him, by the time Jacob would realize, he got Leah as his wages. If truly Laban loved Jacob as claimed, he supposed to have informed Jacob at the negotiation table (seven years before) that young man, in Padanaram, we do not give the younger ones in marriage before the elders but because deceit is in their blood in Padanaram, Laban betrayed the trust Jacob had in him; he waited and allowed him to serve for seven years before he told him the real truth. By this time, Jacob had already married wrongly.

Earlier in this series, I said Jacob would never remain the same for life. No one leaves the presence of God and get peace anywhere. In the Bible, you will find in different verses, I am the God of Jacob and in another, God will say, I am the God of Israel; but those statements do not mean the same thing. When God speaks about Him being called, the God of Jacob, He is referring to the past but when He called Himself or He been referring to as the God of Israel, the Bible is talking about the future. In Padanaram, one does not understand quickly the gimmicks of the Devil or the ruler of the land. No matter who they are, they may be your relatives, uncles, aunts, sisters, brothers, and the likes; the real intention of the ‘power that be’ in Padanaram is to use and dump. You can imagine, a man served faithfully in order to get what he loved but at the end of the day, he got what he disliked. Marrying Leah was not the problem, not been in the will of God was Jacob’s problem but he did not realize this in time.

Beloved, it is impossible for you to live in Padanaram, no matter how ‘fireful’ or powerful you are, and come out intact; the lord of the land knows the game more than you do. The instruction to Jacob from his father, Isaac was to go marry a wife; but in Padanaram, he ended up marrying four wives and his wages were changed several times. The truth is, in Padanaram, destiny is always tied and lives wasted. Haven’t you noticed in your life that no matter the efforts you are putting into your business or anything you are doing the results are not corresponding to the efforts? Do take a deeper look today, consider your ways and check if you are living in Padanaram or not. If you discover your location, you will get your allocation. Whatever God want to make through your life, it will never come to pass in Padanaram because it was not God’s intention for you to live there in the first place. Approach God today, ask for His direction, and pray to Him to lead you in the way you should go. If you are living in the plan and will of God, a little one of yours shall become a thousand (Isaiah 60:22). May you live in the plan of God for your life, Amen.

Word Affirmation: “For the people shall dwell in Zion at Jerusalem: thou shalt weep no more: he will be very gracious unto thee at the voice of thy cry; when he shall hear it, he will answer thee." - Isa 30:19 (Don't just say it, mean it!)

“ The real intention of the ‘power that be’ in Padanaram is to use and dump. "
