THE UNTHINKING PEOPLE (1)

Critical thinking is all about being an active learner and not just to receive information. It is good for every human being to think before do, act or talk. It is even better for a man or woman to imagine different scenario in his/her before it eventually happen. For to be an unthinkable person is not only bad but dangerous to such and people around. Three months after the Almighty God delivered the Israelites from the land of bondage, they demanded for other gods from Aaron, this priest and people were unthinkable individuals. How come they easily forget all what the Lord has done for them in and out of Egypt? They have forgotten the miracles the Lord performed through the hands of Moses, the parted Red Sea, the destruction of the Egyptians army, the quails, Manna from Heaven, even the recent appearance of God’s presence in which they are partakers. Do not be like them.

How could they claim Moses was delayed when he just spent forty days on the mount? How do you compare forty days with four hundred and thirty years they spent in the land of bondage? That’s the unthinking people for you; they are usually in haste, in hurry but generally late. The unthinking people do not usually learn, not men who pursue after knowledge (of self, environment and eternity). They are age but usually babies when it comes to the things of God. Learning is paying attention and being in total obedient to certain instructions with understanding, but unthinking people will never engaged in such. The Israelites were camped near Mount Sinai; they saw the presence of God but never asked questions, not to talk of exploring their new environment. The month Sinai they neglected then is today a tourist attraction to many unbelievers.

The unthinking people, most ungrateful. Imagine how they thrashed the man, Moses, the one who risked his life to deliver them from the hand of Pharaoh. Hear them, “And when the people saw that Moses delayed to come down out of the mount, the people gathered themselves together unto Aaron, and said unto him, Up, make us gods, which shall go before us; for as for this Moses, the man that brought us up out of the land of Egypt, we wot not what is become of him.” Who supposed to send delegation to search for Moses if he’s indeed missing? Not the ungrateful, unthinkable people. You can never please them. Once you are out of sight, you are no longer in their memories. They are ungrateful personalities, do not be like them. Be grateful for the life you live, for the good things you enjoy. For victories in the past, present and the future. Be grateful for what and who you are. If you think deeply you will notice that the aforementioned and many more like it are worthy to be grateful for.

Word Affirmation: “ For the cloud of the LORD was upon the tabernacle by day, and fire was on it by night, in the sight of all the house of Israel, throughout all their journeys." - Exodus 40:38 (Don't just say it, mean it!)

“ For to be an unthinkable person is not only bad but dangerous to such and people around. "
