AND THEY REMEMBER HIS WORDS (1)

TOPIC: AND THEY REMEMBER HIS WORDS (1)
TEXT: LUKE 24:1-8

In 2019, the Believers Today Newspapers carried out a research on how many days it will take to read the entire Bible from Genesis to Revelation. It was a revelation to realize that the entire Bible can be read under sixty-seven hours. Alas! Every one of us has three hundred and sixty-five days in a year to ourselves, which is about 8,760 hours and what one need to read the Bible is not up to 1% of our time in one year. Many people have different versions of the Bible but how many people open theirs, daily? Many people wake up, eat, and sleep without reading God’s Word. How are they surviving? How can they survive without the Word of God? These are living corpses unknown to them.

During His time on earth, Jesus revealed to the disciples the heart and mind of God, expounding and interpreting the Old Testament and bringing fresh revelations to them daily, teaching them to observe all things, but immediately Jesus was crucified, everybody to their own tents and forgotten the word of God which Christ revealed to them. They were busy looking out for Jesus, not until the Angel of God reminded them of His word; it is then that the disciples remember His words.

What is your attitude to God’s words? Do you remember to read or study the Word of God daily? Having a Bible does not mean having the Word of God. Many people never open their Bibles until maybe during Bible reading time in the church. How can you survive in a world made by the Word? The Word of God is quick, sharper and powerful. What is it that you are looking for? The word of God can find it for you. From Genesis to Revelation, the Word of God is full of God’s promises and principles and there is nothing that you are looking for that cannot be found. Many people will never attend Bible Study in their different denominations, they will never open their Bibles in the morning before going out or in the evening when they return and yet complaining that things are not working. How will things work when they have neglected the anchor, the finder, the Bible, the Word of God?

If one’s life is not in line with the Word of God, such will experience hopelessness and miss the daily blessings therein. Do not allow the Devil to hinder you of God’s blessings and truncate your destiny. The Word of God is vital to the fulfilment of your destiny. I live you with the Word of God, may you be found in His Word, Amen.

Word Affirmation: “He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters." - Psalm 23:2 (Don't just say it, mean it!)

“Go back to Him, the Word of God. Your solution is as simple as finding yourself in the Word of God."
