The Third Day: When Hope Rises
The Third Day: When Hope Rises
We’ve all had days when things seemed completely over - when life hit hard, and it felt like nothing would ever get better. The disciples had that kind of day when Jesus was crucified. They saw Him suffer and die. For them, it looked like the end of everything they believed in. But Jesus had already said something powerful before it happened: “On the third day, He will rise again.” And He did. That’s the heartbeat of the Christian faith - hope rises again.
Sometimes, God allows us to go through a “first day” of shock and loss… then a “second day” of silence and waiting… but then comes the “third day” - the day of new life, fresh hope, and unexpected joy. It doesn’t always happen on our schedule, but God is faithful to His promises. If you’re in a season that feels like Friday’s sorrow or Saturday’s silence, don’t give up. Sunday is coming. Resurrection is coming. Hope will rise again - not because of how strong you are, but because Jesus lives.
The same power that raised Christ from the dead is still at work today. That power can revive dead dreams, restore broken faith, and bring joy where sorrow lived. No matter how dark your situation may seem, if you trust in Jesus, you can expect a third day. Don’t count yourself out before God finishes His work. Hope isn’t just a feeling - it’s a Person. And His name is Jesus.
Word Affirmation: “Weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.” (Psalm 30:5) (KJV) (Don't just say it, mean it!)
"When you think it’s over, remember - Jesus rose on the third day, and so will your hope."
