Jesus Shows Up When We Least Expect

Jesus Shows Up When We Least Expect

Sometimes, when life is overwhelming and nothing seems to make sense, we close ourselves off. That’s what the disciples did after Jesus died. They locked themselves in a room, confused and afraid. They didn’t know what to do next. But in that moment of uncertainty, Jesus appeared - right in the middle of the room and in the middle of their fear. He didn’t knock. He didn’t wait for an invitation. He just showed up and said, “Peace be unto you.” That’s what He still does today.

Jesus often comes to us when we’re not even looking for Him. He knows when our hearts are troubled, when our minds are racing, and when our faith is low. Even if we’ve given up hope, He hasn’t given up on us. He enters without fanfare and brings the one thing we need most: peace. His presence doesn’t always change our situation right away, but it changes us. We go from anxious to calm, from fearful to confident, because we realise we’re not alone.

You may be in a place right now where you feel locked in - mentally, emotionally, or even spiritually. But Jesus doesn’t need open doors to reach you. He steps right into your situation, often when you least expect it. And when He does, everything starts to change. Look up, take a breath, and listen. His voice still speaks: “Peace be unto you.”

Word Affirmation: “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.” (Psalm 46:1) (KJV) (Don't just say it, mean it!)

"Jesus doesn’t need perfect moments - He shows up in the middle of our mess with peace."
