JESUS CHECKLIST (1)

JESUS CHECKLIST (1)

God created man in His Own image and likeness, male and female He created them, which mean if any man is looking at you, he must see God. Likewise, if you are a follower of Christ, you must resemble Him. If anybody wants to see Jesus, you should be the indicator and verification means. But, is that so? The truth is, you must be an exact copy of Jesus Christ, if you are deficient in some ways or disable in some parts, you are not His and you cannot produce His kind mentioned in Galatians 5:22-23. Are you like Jesus? Here are some of His characters as you read through this hymnal and see whether you are His truly:

FIRST HYMN - I WANT TO BE LIKE JESUS

“I want to be like Jesus, So lowly and so meek; For no one marked an angry word That ever heard him speak. I want to be like Jesus, So frequently in prayer; Alone upon the mountain top, He met his Father there. I want to be like Jesus, I never, never find That He, though persecuted, was to any one unkind. I want to be like Jesus, Engaged in doing good, So that of me it may be said, He hath done what he could. But oh! I'm not like Jesus, As any one may see; Then gentle Saviour, send Thy Grace, And make me like to thee.”

SECOND HYMN – ONCE IN ROYAL DAVID’S CITY

“He came down to earth from heaven, Who is God and Lord of all, And His shelter was a stable, And His cradle was a stall; With the poor and meek and lowly, Lived on earth our Saviour holy.

And through all His wondrous childhood, He would honour and obey, Love and watch the lowly mother, In whose gentle arms He lay. Christian children all should be, Mild, obedient, good as He.

For He is our childhood's pattern, Day by day like us He grew, He was little, weak, and helpless, Tears and smiles like us He knew, And He feeleth for our sadness, And He shareth in our gladness.

Jesus was born through the Holy Spirit. Who gave birth to you? – Matthew 1:20, Jn 3:16. Jesus left His Throne to be born in a manger. Where were you born? Do you still know the date that you gave your life to Christ? Or do you still have the experience? Jesus in His days was always in God’s Temple doing His Father’s Business. Whose business are you doing? The business sanctioned by God or the one you believe you can do? If you are not like Him, you cannot command His greater works. May you not suffer hardship in the midst of plenty, Amen!

Word Affirmation: Greater works I shall do – John 14:12. (Don't just say it, mean it!)

“If you are not like Him, you cannot command His greater works.”
