Why does it look as if the Word of God not working in some people’s lives? We learnt some points yesterday; let us consider some more today.
4) Many people do NOT gather enough word or pray the Word meant for their lives: When a lawyer is defending a case, he will not win his case based on mere arguments. He will win based on certain references he made in the law, evidences available and citing of previous cases. You must know what has been written concerning you and use it to your advantage (ee Jesus and Satan - Matthew 4). Do not just pray prayer points that are not back up by the Word of God. In order not to pray amiss, when you understand the challenges you are going through, look out for relevant scriptures and begin to pray them. It does not matter if you cannot memorize them, open your eyes widely and begin to pray the word, be committed to this for like six months and before this time, you will surely see a change in your situation.
5) Many people do NOT take NECESSARY action to fulfil the Word: For every action, there is an equal reaction. You cannot just sit down, fold arms and expect the Word of God to come to pass just like that. Are you in need of jobs, then in faith apply, even the one that you are not qualify for. It is better to be a walking leper when it comes to the Word of God than to be an experienced adviser or a sleeping king.
6) Many people do NOT enforce the Word: When you are confessing the Word, you are not fighting with flesh and blood; you are actually wrestling with principalities and powers, the power that be, the rulers in the heavenlies. They do not want the Word of God to prosper anyone, so you must be ready to enforce the Word of God at all cost. Do not be tired to repeat the Word of God until you see results.
7) Be ready to sink with the Word: Do you know that when you are proclaiming the Word of God, the battles you are facing will be more tensed? At this time, it would seem the Word is not working. He is actually working; the Word of God is like a hammer, with the first strike something has happened, so keep striking until you see the evidence. Do not let the Devil deceive you that the Word of God is not working, keep at it, keep saying it and even if you cannot see the evidence, it is still better to sink with the Word.
8) Many people love activities more than study the Word: How many believers attend Bible Studies in their different churches? However, go and check the population of those who attend revival hour and Bible studies, you will be surprised. People love miracles more than the Word, forgetting that it is the Word of God that produces the miraculous. You and I must have a change of attitude to the Word of God for Him to prosper us.
