The Fullness of God Dwells in Christ

The Fullness of God Dwells in Christ

Colossians 2:9 boldly declares, “For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.” This is not just a theological truth, it’s a revelation that changes how we see Jesus and ourselves. Paul makes it clear that Jesus is not partly divine or merely god-like; He is fully God in human form. Everything about God, the wisdom, the power, the holiness, the love, was wrapped in the body of Christ. This means that Jesus is not just the way to God, He is God. He is the perfect and complete revelation of the invisible Father, walking among us in human flesh to bring heaven close to humanity.

When we understand this fullness in Christ, our faith gains solid ground. We don’t follow a prophet or a teacher, we follow the Creator. That means we can trust Him with every detail of our lives. If Christ contains all the fullness of God, then He lacks nothing, and in Him, we lack nothing. He is the final and full Word of God to humanity. You don’t need to look anywhere else for spiritual answers or power, He is the source of it all. That fullness is not hidden from us; it overflows into our lives when we believe in Him. The same Christ who walked on water, calmed storms, and forgave sins now lives in you.

This truth should inspire awe, trust, and worship. You serve a Saviour who is fully God, not a junior version, not a messenger, but the complete divine being. So when you pray, remember you're speaking to One who holds all authority in heaven and on earth. When you feel weak, remember that you are connected to the One in whom all power dwells. Let your heart be filled with gratitude. Let your confidence rise. You are not following an idea, you are walking with the living God who came in the fullness of flesh to dwell among us and now dwells in you by His Spirit.

Word Affirmation: (Isaiah 40:28, KJV) "Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding." (KJV) (Don't just say it, mean it!)

Personalise: I am complete in Christ. He is all I need, and in Him, I lack nothing.

“Jesus is not a glimpse of God, He is the fullness of God, and He lives in you.”
