From Witness to Messenger

From Witness to Messenger
The moment the two disciples recognised Jesus in the breaking of bread, everything changed. Their sorrow turned into joy, their confusion into clarity. They didn’t sit back and process it for days-they got up immediately and returned to Jerusalem to tell others. That’s what happens when you encounter Jesus: you become a witness. And from witness, you become a messenger. They had to tell someone. They had to share the joy of what they saw, heard, and felt.
Many of us have had moments with God-prayers answered, peace received, or guidance given. But sometimes we keep it all to ourselves. The disciples on the Emmaus road show us that real encounters with Jesus are not meant to stay quiet. When Jesus touches your life, you carry a message worth sharing. Not just sermons or theology, but your story-how He met you, walked with you, and made Himself known to you. That story can lift someone else from doubt into hope.
You don’t need to be perfect or eloquent to be a messenger. Just be willing to go-like those two disciples who didn’t let distance or tiredness stop them. They went back to the very place they once left in disappointment. Why? Because now they carried good news. You, too, have something valuable to give. Share it. Speak about it. Let your life be the proof that Jesus is alive and still walking with His people.
Word Affirmation: “How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace…” (Isaiah 52:7) (KJV) (Don't just say it, mean it!)
"Real encounters with Jesus move us from silent witnesses to joyful messengers."
