AT WHAT JUNCTION ARE YOU WAITING FOR GOD?
At what junction are you waiting for God for those of us who believe in Him, at the junction of promises, processes or fulfilments? Many believers today are waiting for God at the fulfillment stage, even Jesus’ disciples in those days waited at the same junction. What they were after is when would this promise come to pass, they kept waiting, forgetting that the best junction to wait for God is at the junction of faith. Jesus’ disciples led by the women in the fold very early on the Resurrection Day rushed to the sepulchre, the sepulchre was the junction they are waiting to see Jesus. When Jesus told them he would rise the third day after death they did not believe. Even Peter and other disciples were told Jesus has risen from the dead, they couldn’t believe, they all rushed down to the sepulchre to find Him. Alas! Jesus was no longer there. It took the Angel of God to convince and made them to remember the Word Jesus the Christ told them while on earth.
These ones forgot the Person that gave them His Words, the Word did not mixed up with faith in their inside hence the need to run to a wrong place looking for Jesus. Likewise, where do you stay waiting for Jesus? What are you looking forward to? Are you looking forward to a day your story will change? No! That is a wrong mindset. If you receive the word that God will prosper you, immediately you are prospered. You do not have to wait at the junction of promises or processes, or waiting at the bus stop of fulfillment. Instantly that the word of God came, at that junction, is when the fulfillment of the word came; not tomorrow, not anytime soon but now. By our thoughts and actions, believers had prolonged the fulfillment of God’s Word. Assuming that the disciples believed, they would not have bothered themselves to go to the sepulchre; they would be waiting for Jesus at the Upper Room.
The Angels said to them, “Why seek ye the living among the dead?” Any man or woman that does not believe the word of God at the time it was uttered is looking for the living among the dead. If they really believe in what Jesus told them, why bothering themselves visiting the sepulchre? The disciples put themselves in unnecessary pressure, the way many believers behave today. We are not relaxed at the word of God at all; we bother ourselves too much about when, how and where. It took the Angels to reassure the disciples who stayed with Jesus for more than three years to believe in what their Master told them. Now, they believed the Angels (Aliens) more than their Master, because it was at this junction they remembered His (Jesus) words. Will you look at yourself at the mirror of God’s words this day? What is/are the thing(s) God has told you that instead of you looking at the One who spoke to you, you are still looking at the day it will come to pass. There is nothing like what God is about to do, He has done and finished everything. If He says, just believe it is done, praise Him and move on. You will find Him at the place of His Words.
Word Affirmation: “ And (I) they remembered his words." - Luke 24:8 (Don't just say it, mean it!)
“ You will find God at the place of His Words. "
