ONE DAY AT A TIME

ONE DAY AT A TIME

Everything looks good; you know what to do but what you have on ground do not tally with your vision. You may now be in God’s plan for your life, that does not mean everything will be rosy and splendid. You must begin to start living one day at a time, therefore, to live by God’s instruction. In the beginning, God created the Heavens and the Earth but the earth was void, formless and darkness permeated everywhere even the Spirit of God did not even have a place of rest. God himself had to learn how to live one day at a time.

There is no perfect day; you just have to make it perfect. Jacob entered into his destiny leaping even though he had won the war but the battle still waiting. He went through series of troubles but he learnt how to live one day at a time. As believers, to live successfully in this hopeless world, one must exchange his strength for that of God. You can never win the battle of life by your own strength. You must rely on the power, person and presence of God to defeat your battle.

God spoke the Word, ‘let there be light’ to address the situation that confronted Him. You too need to speak the Word of life to your situation and bring it to subjection. Never see the situation, see what God is seeing. God saw light, not darkness and there was light. Even at that, he separated the night from the day, that’s means you must be able to manage situations properly. For God, his evening and his morning became his first day. You must know that life is full of vicissitudes and it is in your own interest, so manage every situation and turn it to your own advantage. If indeed you want to enter into your rest, you must learn to live one day at a time.

God has a vision of what He wanted to do at creation but as problems began to show itself, God was able to manage them to get to His Day of rest. A voided and formless earth became a beautiful world that God can say and it was good. Richard Bachman said, “If people just took it a day at a time, they'd be a lot happier.” Happiness is achieved when you stop waiting for your life to begin and start making the most of the moment you are in.

I live you with the song of Daniel O' Donnell - A live performance titled, One Day at a Time: “I'm only human. I'm just a wo(man). Help me believe in what I could be and all that I am. Show me the stairway. I have to climb. Lord for my sake; teach me to take One day at a time. One day at a time, sweet Jesus that's all I'm asking from you. Just give me the strength to do every day what I have to do. Yesterday's gone sweet Jesus and tomorrow may never be mine. Lord help me today show me the way. Do you remember? When you walked among men? Well Jesus you know if you're looking below, it's worse now, than then. They're pushing, shoving, and crowding my mind. So for my sake, teach me to take One day at a time.

“Where the presence of light do not take away your own darkness, do turn the darkness into your night life and who knows may be it then that you have your brighter stars and great light. God did.”
