Walking as Children of Light

Walking as Children of Light

Believers are called to be children of light, reflecting the holiness and truth of God in a world full of darkness. Light exposes what is hidden and brings clarity where confusion reigns. As children of light, our lives should display goodness, righteousness, and truth, revealing what pleases the Lord. This is not a call to perfection, but a call to live in such a way that our conduct points others to the God we serve.

Living as children of light requires deliberate choices. We must reject the works of darkness, deceit, immorality, greed, and instead embrace integrity, purity, and compassion. When the light of Christ shines through us, it not only transforms our own hearts but also convicts and inspires those around us. People should be able to look at our words, actions, and attitudes and see a reflection of Jesus.

Light is not meant to be hidden; it must be visible. This means being unashamed of our faith, speaking truth in love, and living in such a way that the gospel is displayed through our daily walk. The brighter the light, the greater its impact in the darkness.

Word Affirmation: “The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear?”, Psalm 27:1 (KJV) (Don't just say it, mean it!)

"A life lit by Christ shines truth into the world’s shadows."
